Pune: Water Supply Disruption Likely in Wakad and Nearby Areas on December 27
Residents of Wakad, Thergaon, Rahatani, parts of Pimple Saudagar, Pimple Nilakh, Kalewadi and Sangvi should be prepared for disrupted water supply on Saturday, December 27, 2025.
According to an official notice issued by the water supply department, a sudden leakage developed on the gravity water pipeline on Chinchwad–Walhekarwadi Road on December 26. Repair work was taken up immediately to prevent further damage.
Due to the emergency repairs, water supply to the affected areas in was shut down from Sector 23 on Thursday night. Officials stated that water supply will be restored once the leakage repair is completed.
As a result, water supply on December 27 is expected to remain irregular and at reduced pressure in the mentioned localities. Citizens are advised to use stored water carefully until normal supply resumes.
The water supply department has assured that the repair work is being carried out on a priority basis to restore services at the earliest.
