Criticism of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar Will Not Be Tolerated, Warns Amol Balwadkar
Balewadi: Former corporator Amol Balwadkar has issued a strong warning to Pune’s Members of Parliament, stating that any attempt to criticise Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will not be tolerated by the Nationalist Congress Party.
Balwadkar alleged that MPs who remained silent while individuals accused of helping criminals flee abroad were being protected, and who were elected mainly on the face of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have no moral authority to lecture Ajit Pawar on politics. He said such remarks would not be accepted by the party under any circumstances.
He further stated that representatives of a culturally rich city like Pune are expected to speak responsibly. Balwadkar reminded them that the narrow victory in the parliamentary elections was possible due to significant support from the Nationalist Congress Party, a fact that should not be forgotten.
Accusing the MPs of adopting a “use and discard” approach, Balwadkar said this attitude was unacceptable. He issued a clear warning that if any objectionable statements are made against Ajit Pawar in the future, they will be met with equally strong responses.
Balwadkar’s remarks, coming from a Nationalist Congress Party candidate from Ward No. 9, are expected to further intensify the ongoing political war of words in local politics.
