Mauli Aba Katke Takes Charge of NCP Campaign in Pune Wards 3 & 4, Targets Decades-Old Family Rule
Pune: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA Mauli Aba Katke has taken the lead in steering the party’s election campaign in Pune Municipal Corporation Wards 3 and 4, emerging as a key figure shaping the political narrative in the area. His campaign has drawn attention for its clear focus on development, accountability, and a firm opposition to long-standing family-dominated politics.
During interactions with residents in housing societies, slum pockets, and public gatherings, Katke has consistently clarified that while the NCP is aligned with the BJP at the state level to ensure stable and development-oriented governance, the local contest in Wards 3 and 4 is about breaking the grip of family politics rather than fighting any particular party.
“For the last 30 to 35 years, power has remained within the same families. Yet, essential civic issues such as water supply, road conditions, and systematic development continue to remain unresolved. Citizens deserve transparent leadership and measurable results,” Katke said while addressing voters.

Emphasis on Work and Governance
Katke has been highlighting his performance as the MLA from the Shirur–Haveli Assembly constituency, pointing to several development initiatives approved within just one year of his tenure. According to him, these approvals reflect effective coordination with the state government and a results-driven approach to governance.
Key initiatives cited during the campaign include approvals for major road and bridge projects aimed at improving connectivity, large-scale infrastructure planning in coordination with state and metropolitan authorities, and consistent follow-up with departments to ensure faster clearances and implementation.
He has underlined that such momentum is possible only when leadership is accessible, decisive, and not driven by vested family interests.
Growing Public Response
Katke’s straightforward communication and emphasis on performance have found resonance among voters, particularly residents of large housing societies and first-time voters. Many citizens view his active involvement as an assurance that NCP candidates in Wards 3 and 4 will have strong backing and effective coordination with the state administration.
Political observers note that his core message — cooperation at the state level coupled with accountability at the local level — is gaining traction among voters who are increasingly questioning years of unfulfilled civic promises.
Call for Change
By personally leading rallies, door-to-door outreach, and joint meetings with NCP candidates, Mauli Aba Katke is projecting the election as a decisive choice between decades of entrenched family control and a development-focused, performance-oriented alternative.
As campaigning intensifies, Wards 3 and 4 are witnessing a shift in political discourse, with voters being urged to assess leadership based on work and outcomes rather than political lineage.
Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction) candidates are Nanasaheb Kondiba Abnave, Vasundhara Shivdas Ubale, Darshana Swapnil Pathare and Sameer Dattatray Bhadale, contesting from Ward No. 4.
