Popular Marathi actress Esha Dey, best known for entertaining audiences on the comedy show Maharashtrachi Hasyajatra, has stepped into a new phase of life as she recently got married. Over the past few days, pictures from her pre-wedding celebrations had been widely circulating on social media, leaving fans excited and curious about the big day.
While several photos from the celebrations surfaced online, one detail remained a mystery for a long time — the identity of the groom. Esha chose not to reveal her husband’s name publicly before the wedding, which only added to the curiosity among her followers.
The secret was eventually out when actress Vanita Kharat shared a glimpse from the wedding celebrations on Instagram. In her story, she posted a photo with fellow artists Priyadarshini Indalkar and Rohit Mane, captioning it “Majja aali pahije” (We should have fun). Along with the picture, she tagged both Esha and Abhishek Khankar, unintentionally revealing the groom’s identity.
Who Is Abhishek Khankar?
Esha Dey’s husband Abhishek Khankar is also associated with the Marathi entertainment industry. He is known as a writer and lyricist, having contributed to several well-known television projects.
Abhishek wrote the title track for the popular Marathi serial Khulta Kali Khulena and has also penned the title song for the ongoing show Lakshmi Nivas. Apart from television, he has also worked in Marathi cinema. He wrote songs for the film Sakal Tar Hou Dya, which stars Subodh Bhave and Manasi Naik.
Abhishek’s work has also earned him recognition at the state level. He received an award at the Maharashtra State Marathi Film Awards for writing the song “Tu Dhagdhagati Aag” from the film Ananya.
