Pune, May 7, 2026: The Pune City Traffic Police organised an award ceremony on Tuesday to honour citizens who actively reported traffic rule violations through the ‘PTP – Pune Traffic Police’ mobile application.

The event was held at the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) in Yerawada, where citizens who registered the highest number of valid complaints during March 2026 were felicitated for contributing towards improving traffic discipline in the city.

The PTP mobile application was developed by Pune Traffic Police to encourage public participation in traffic management and improve transparency in enforcement. Through the app, citizens can upload photographs or videos of traffic violations committed by motorists. After verification, traffic police issue penalties and e-challans against violators.
