Man Exposes ‘Fallen Money’ Scam; Viral Video Crosses 3 Crore Views
June 6, 2026: A man exposes a video of an alleged roadside theft trick in Delhi. The viral video has gained more than 3 crore views and sparked discussions about public safety and scam tactics.
The video was shared on Instagram by a content creator who shows how scammers use small amounts of cash to distract vehicle owners and steal valuable belongings from their cars.

The incident took place in Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar area. He alleged that a group of individuals threw currency notes worth around ₹100–₹150 near his parked vehicle. One of them then approached him and informed him that money had fallen on the ground near his car.
The man explained that the alleged plan was to lure him out of the vehicle. He claimed that once he opened the car door or unlocked the vehicle to collect the money, another person could quickly steal valuables such as a laptop from inside the car.
In the video, the man points to individuals standing near his vehicle and says he believes they were waiting for him to leave his seat so they could commit the theft. He further demonstrates how unlocking the car to pick up the cash could create an opportunity for someone to access the vehicle from another side.
The clip has gained significant attention online, crossing 30 million views, receiving over one million likes, and generating thousands of comments. Social media users reacted with a mix of concern and surprise, with many warning others to remain alert while parking or stopping on public roads.
The alleged incident has also renewed discussions about distraction-based thefts, a method in which criminals divert a victim’s attention to create an opportunity for stealing valuables.
Authorities have not issued any official statement regarding the specific incident mentioned in the video. However, experts generally advise motorists to keep vehicle doors locked, avoid leaving valuables in plain sight, and remain cautious when approached by strangers reporting dropped cash or other distractions.
The viral video is a reminder for drivers to stay vigilant and carefully assess situations before leaving their vehicles, particularly in crowded urban areas where distraction scams can occur.
