Pune: Traffic Diversions Announced On Katraj Chowk–Rajas Society Road Due To Flyover Construction
Pune, June 19, 2026: Temporary traffic diversions have been implemented on the Katraj Chowk–Rajas Society stretch due to ongoing segmental launching work for the six-lane flyover being constructed between Katraj Chowk and Rajas Society.
The orders were issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Dr. Sandeep Bhajibhakare.
According to the traffic advisory, vehicles travelling from Kondhwa towards Katraj should use the service road instead of the Rajas Bridge. The Rajas Bridge will remain open only for one-way traffic from Katraj towards Kondhwa.
Motorists coming from the Katraj Lake side and heading towards Kondhwa should use the service road and proceed via the Rajas Bridge. Vehicles travelling from Rajas Society towards Katraj have been advised to take a U-turn at Kapila Dairy and continue their journey.
Dr. Bhajibhakare has appealed to motorists to cooperate with the traffic police by using alternative routes.
The restrictions will apply to all vehicles except those engaged in essential services.
