Pune, June 24, 2026: Residents and commuters have raised concerns over the condition of the area beneath the 7 Loves Chowk flyover on Shankarsheth Road in Swargate, one of Pune’s busiest traffic corridors.

According to citizens, the condition of the stretch observed around 12:30 pm on Wednesday highlights issues related to cleanliness, maintenance, traffic management, and public safety. The area, which witnesses heavy daily movement of vehicles and pedestrians, is reportedly suffering from inadequate upkeep.

Locals have pointed out that such conditions are unacceptable on a major road that forms an important part of Pune’s urban transport network. They said taxpayers expect better civic infrastructure, regular maintenance, and greater accountability from the concerned authorities.

Residents and commuters have urged the Pune Municipal Corporation and other relevant agencies to carry out immediate cleaning and repair work, improve traffic management, and ensure that the area is maintained properly to prevent accidents, health hazards, and further inconvenience to the public.

The demand for prompt action comes as Swargate continues to serve as a key transport hub connecting multiple parts of the city.
