Jaipur School Tragedy: Parents Release CCTV, Allege 9-Year-Old Was Bullied Before Death
10 July, 2026: The parents of a nine-year-old girl who died after allegedly jumping from the fourth floor of Jaipur’s Neerja Modi School last year have released classroom CCTV footage, claiming it shows their daughter being repeatedly bullied by classmates shortly before the incident.
The family alleges that the footage captures the Class 4 student entering the classroom normally, greeting classmates and participating in a dance activity before becoming the target of repeated bullying. They claim she repeatedly sought help from her teacher, but no action was taken despite her visible distress.
According to the parents, the school’s failure to intervene contributed to the tragedy. They have demanded strict action against those responsible under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act.

The child was rushed to a nearby hospital after the incident on November 1 last year but was declared dead on arrival. Nearly eight months later, Rajasthan Police filed a chargesheet in the case, while the family continues to question the investigation.
The parents have also alleged that the investigation did not fully examine what happened inside the classroom and claimed that the school’s management influenced the probe. They say the newly released CCTV footage supports their long-standing allegation that continuous bullying and the school’s inaction led to their daughter’s death.
The case has renewed concerns over student safety and anti-bullying measures in schools. The Sanyukt Abhibhavak Sangh (Joint Parents’ Association) has called for stricter implementation of child protection norms, including stronger anti-bullying policies, trained counsellors, comprehensive CCTV surveillance and effective grievance redressal systems in educational institutions.
Authorities have not announced any fresh action following the release of the CCTV footage.
