NRRF urges senior citizens to raise issues on 1090 helpline run by Pune Police
On 1 January 2021, a group of Senior Citizen of NIBM Road Residents Forum met Police Constable Shakeela Patel, from office of the Police Commissioner, Pune.
She briefed the group on the special cell at the Police Commissioner office established to help Senior citizens. If a Senior Citizen suffers harassment from any body including service provider, or relatives, or need medical help, he or she can call help line 1090. The cell will arrange help through local police station.
“It is worth mentioning here that earlier NRRF co-ordinated with Kondwa Police station to obtain and distribute Senior Citizen Cards to about 300 Senior Citizen said Vishwas Joshi Secretary, NRRF.
