TSF awarded as ‘Corona Warrior’ by Chikhali Moshi Charholi housing society federation

Thergaon Social Foundation which has caught the eye of citizens for its help to the needy during the lockdown has earned the organized an award by the Chikhali – Moshi – Charholi society federation.
Aniket Parbhu, one of the founders of the federation, received the award on behalf of the group at an award ceremony organised by the federation in presence of PCMC Mayor, Usha Dhore, Commissioner, Shravan Hardikar, and MLA Mahesh Landge.
In its 57 days food donation drive during all the three previous lockdowns, the federation fed more than one lakh needy people. Other than the massive food donation drive, the foundation has also encouraged people to participate in its blood donation drives when the blood banks in the city were running out of reserves. Almost 471 people had donated their blood at the blood donation camp by the foundation.

The foundation had also distributed sanitizer and masks to 5000 people, along side helping the Auto rickshaw drivers and news reporters, who lost their daily survival and job due to COVID, distributing almost 600 kits.
While talking to Pune Pulse, Aniket Prabhu said, “It’s been a pleasure in working for the society during crisis. The TCF went out of its way in easing the problems of people during Pandemic. We wil continue the work.”
Before the occurence of pandemic, the foundation had cleaned an entire flyover, which was covered with the posters and flyers. Every Sunday, the group gathered to brush off the posters and clean the entire flyover stretch passing from Thergaon to Ravet
