Subsequently, Jyoti contacted the plaintiff and informed him that the call girl had been apprehended by the police for stealing a mobile phone. The call records on her mobile phone implicated the complainant, leading the police to consider him as an accomplice in the crime. Fearing legal repercussions, the complainant complied with the accused’s demands and provided them with a total of Rs 30.30 lakh in cash and cheques.
