State Excise Seizes Foreign Liquor on Mumbai-Goa Highway From Luxury Car

The flying squad of the State Excise department seized India-made foreign liquor worth lakhs of rupees from a luxury car on Mumbai-Goa national highway at Ratnagiri and detained the car driver in this connection.
Acting on reliable information, the Excise officials tried to stop a luxury car on suspicion on Monday, but the car driver sped away.
Then, the team gave a thrilling chase and succeeded in stopping the car. During a search of the vehicle, they found 81 boxes of IMFL manufactured in Goa. The team seized all boxes along with the car, collectively worth Rs 16,65,120. They have detained a suspected car driver in this connection, a press release said here.
