After the emergency door of an Alaska Airlines flight AS1282 blew open some days ago, an iPhone had reportedly fallen off the plane. Surprisingly, a person found it lying on the side of the road &, to everyone’s surprise, it was working fine even after falling from around 16,000 feet.

As per information from the X handle of a user Seanathan Bates, expressing his astonishment “Found an iPhone on the side of the road… Still in airplane mode with half a battery and open to a baggage claim for Alaska Airlines ASA1282 Survived a 16,000 foot drop perfectly intact!”

The iPhone model is still unknown, but based on the images that Bates posted, it looks to be either the iPhone 14 Pro or the iPhone 15, given that it has a dynamic island notch. The picture also shows that the phone was in flight mode and had the SOS feature activated when it was discovered. Remarkably, the phone was discovered to have survived the aircraft’s free fall to the ground without any damage.
