Apple unveils exciting new features for iOS 18 at WWDC
Apple introduced several exciting new features for iOS 18 at the WWDC this week, highlighting how its high-end devices will use AI. One of the most anticipated features is call recording, which has been a long-requested addition to iOS.
One of the standout features is the ability to record calls and get transcriptions. Initially, the transcriptions will support English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, and Portuguese. Apple hinted that more languages might be added in the future.
Currently, the first beta of iOS 18 is available for testing. However, it doesn’t yet include the new AI-powered features. Users will have to wait until later this summer to try out the live call recording and transcription features, which are expected to roll out in the fall.
Apple’s move to integrate AI into its devices aims to enhance user experience and bring innovative tools to everyday smartphone use.
