Dr. Ramchandra Bhoir orchestrates a shooting to scare a rival doctor in Thane’s Murbad area, resulting in multiple arrests.

In a shocking incident of professional rivalry, Dr Ramchandra Bhoir from  Thane’s Murbad area allegedly hired a gunman to intimidate a fellow practitioner, Dr Ravishankar Pal, by shooting at his car. The motive behind this extreme action was to drive Dr Pal out of the neighbourhood and establish dominance, thereby increasing his own patient base and income.

The incident unfolded on July 1, when shots were fired at Dr Pal’s car parked in front of Shri Krishna Hospital in the Saralgaon area. Fortunately, Dr Pal was not in the car at the time of the shooting. Following the attack, Dr Pal reported the incident to the Murbad police station, prompting an investigation.

Investigators identified Dr Bhoir as the mastermind behind the crime, although he remains at large. Four individuals — Suresh Pundalik Okhore, 32, Bhushan alias Bablya Pundalik Pawar, 23, Gaurav Ramchandra Tungar, 22, and Jnaneshwar alias Bala Jaywant Sable, 24—were arrested in connection with the attack. Another accomplice, Vijay Wagh, is also on the run.

Senior Police Inspector explained that the professional rivalry between Dr Bhoir and Dr Pal led to the violent incident. “Dr Bhoir orchestrated the crime to eliminate competition from Dr Pal,” the inspector said.

The police investigation revealed that Gaurav Tungar, a former compounder at Dr Pal’s clinic who had been reprimanded for irregularities, allied with Dr Bhoir and Dr Pal’s driver, Jnaneshwar Sable, to execute the plan. Okhore and Pawar were assigned to carry out the shooting, with Tungar securing a country-made firearm from Vijay Wagh for the task.

On the day of the incident, Okhore and Pawar rode a motorcycle to Shri Krishna Hospital, where they fired at Dr Pal’s car and fled the scene. CCTV footage captured the two bike-borne shooters, which aided the police in their investigation.

Upon their arrest, Okhore and Pawar confessed to the crime. During interrogation, they admitted it was orchestrated by Dr Bhoir and facilitated by Tungar and Sable. The gun used in the attack was recovered. All four arrested suspects have been produced in court and placed in police custody for further questioning.

The hunt for Dr Bhoir and Vijay Wagh continues as authorities work to bring all responsible parties to justice. The incident highlights the extreme lengths to which professional rivalries can escalate, posing serious risks to safety and order.
