Shiv Sena MLA Aaditya Thackeray has written to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, urging him to lead an initiative to ban political posters, banners, and hoardings across the state. In his letter, dated December 24, 2024, Thackeray highlighted how such displays have defaced cities, causing visual clutter and inconvenience to citizens.
He noted that over the past two years, the proliferation of legal and illegal political posters has become a significant concern. Thackeray appealed for bipartisan cooperation to implement the ban, suggesting that this step would not only beautify cities but also relieve party workers of unnecessary expenses.
Thackeray emphasized that his party is willing to support and adhere to this initiative if the government takes the first step. He called on CM Fadnavis to organize a meeting or issue directives to all political parties, ensuring collective efforts to address the issue effectively.
