Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Take Legal Action Against YouTube Over AI-Generated Videos
Bollywood stars allege misuse of AI to create sexually explicit and fictitious content
Bollywood actors Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have filed petitions against YouTube, seeking legal protection over their personalities and reputations. The petitions claim that AI-generated videos featuring the actors in “sexually explicit” or fabricated scenarios have been widely circulated online.
According to court documents, hundreds of links and screenshots were submitted showing videos where AI manipulation depicted Abhishek kissing a film actress or Aishwarya sharing a meal with her former co-star Salman Khan, while Abhishek appears angry in the background. Many of these videos have also spread across other social media platforms.

According to court filings, the star couple is seeking $450,000 (approximately Rs 4 crore) in damages, along with a permanent injunction to stop YouTube from hosting or monetising any content that misrepresents them or misuses their voices, likeness, and images in Al-generated deepfake videos.
News agencies report states that a YouTube channel named “AI Bollywood Ishq,” which uploads AI-generated Bollywood love stories, has posted 259 videos with over 16.5 million views. One video showing Aishwarya and Salman in a pool has alone garnered 4.1 million views.
The Delhi High Court has asked Google’s legal team to submit written responses. The next hearing is scheduled for January 15, 2026.
