Accident on Mumbai Pune Bengaluru Highway : Multiple vehicles including a bus collided in Katraj Ghat
There has been a major accident in Katraj Ghat near Pune wherein five vehicles have collided with each other. A bus is also among the vehicles involved in the accident.
As per further information, after the accident, the work of removing the vehicles from the tunnel is going on. The traffic police have reached the spot. Currently there is a long queue of vehicles on both the sides.
Vehicles were going from Satara towards Mumbai. At the same time, a vehicle suddenly applied brake in the tunnel and the vehicles coming behind collided with each other. A woman has been injured in this accident.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Pandurang Waghmare, Assistant Police Inspector, Sinhagad Road Traffic Division, said “We are going to the spot. However, the situation is in control now with no casualties reported.”
