Action against hooligans needed near Ganga Florentina

A resident complained, “There are several illegal activities happening till late hours just outside our society. The street has become a hotspot for such activities which cause disturbance sometimes even till 3 AM ! Its like a favourite destination for people who want to celebrate birthdays and play loud music in their cars. Often these are followed by bursting of crackers which have also come in D bldg balconies.

Besides this, it seems very normal to see people consuming alcohol, smoking cigarettes and weed, racing and creating havoc. Few restaurants below cater to these people by serving tea and snacks late into the night. Saturday and Sunday nights are the worse because of the huge crowds that gather, the noise and ruckus created is even worse.”

Nitin Bokey from Anandvan Parisar Residents Forum informed that stringent action from Police is needed in this area to control the menace caused by visitors in the restaurants. There are bikers who drive rashly which needs to be controlled by putting up speed breakers. We have already spoken to the traffic department and PMC and got the sanction for speed breakers in our area.
