Unity in citizens can bring a major difference

Prajakta Pethkar Education Trust and NIBM Undri Road Residents Association had jointly organised an event to felicitate the social warriors who have relentlessly worked in bringing development in the area. For the past many years this area struggled to get adequate street lights, proper road, water issues, speed breakers and waste management.

The residents joined hands with the Pune Municipal Corporation, Pune Police, Pune Traffic Police, Forest Department, Govt of Maharashtra, local Corporators, MLA Hadapsar constituency to resolve various issues pertaining to the area.

Since many of the issues raised by the residents were resolved a small appreciation ceremony was organised by the members on June 2 at Runwal Commercial complex.
The members felicitated several officials, residents for their commendable job.

The program was attended by MLA Chetan Tupe, Ex Corporator NIBM Nanda Lonkar and ex Member of District Planning Committee Nivrutti Bandal, Malhar COO, Adar Poonawala Clean Cities and residents of the area.

Tupe in his speech said that if citizens are united they can bring a big difference. Also, if there are alert citizens like NIBM Undri Road Association then the neighborhood can see a big change. I appreciate the efforts of these residents who approached me to get their work done for the area.
