Air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari, accompanied by Richa Tiwari, President of the Air Force Families Welfare Association (AFFWA) Regional, visited the Air Force Station in Pune on Monday and Tuesday. During his visit, Air Marshal Tiwari, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the South Western Air Command (SWAC), flew a sortie in the Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jet and inspected the station’s strategically significant missile and fighter squadrons.

They were welcomed by Air Commodore Shekhar Yadav, the Air Officer Commanding of Air Force Station Pune, and Sonu Yadav, the president of AFFWA Local. Air Marshal Tiwari was briefed on the station’s activities and operational preparedness, and he inspected various operational installations, including fighter and missile squadrons, maintenance facilities, and radar units to assess their battle readiness.

He also reviewed a ceremonial parade on Tuesday, comprising officers and airmen from various units and formations of the Air Force Station. In his address, he appreciated the role of station personnel in safeguarding the nation’s western skies, highlighted future challenges for the Indian Air Force, and advised all air warriors to remain physically fit and mentally agile for operational readiness.
Richa Tiwari, during the visit, interacted with the families of the Air Force Station and visited various AFFWA ventures, including play schools and the Umeed Asha Kiran School.


Moreover, Air Marshal Tiwari inspected various messes and billets to check the living conditions of personnel, especially for Agniveer women.
