Air Pollution Control system installed at the Late Nivrutti Pandharinath Kapre in Kondhwa was inaugurated on March 2, 2021.

Residents of NIBM road, Kondhwa for the past many years complained of foul smell and smoke emitting from the crematorium. To resolve the issue permanently, local Corporator Nanda Lonkar Prabhag 26 installed an Air Pollution Control system of 30 kw which shall help in reducing the smoke and foul smell.

The program saw presence of Narayan Lonkar, ex Corporator Tanaji Lonkar, Rajendra Babar, Amar Pawale, Aba Kapre, Abhijit Kapre, Yuvraj Lonkar, Sanjay Lonkar, Prasad Babar, Satish Lonkar, Bapusaheb Mulani and many Kondhwa residents.

The official inauguration of the system was held at the hands of Corporator Prabhag 25 Wanawadi Ramtekdi and ex Mayor Pune Prashant Jagtap. He also inaugurated newly installed name board of the crematorium.
