Aligarh: A horrifying murder in Aligarh’s Telipada area was caught on CCTV, exposing a brutal attack on a 25-year-old man, Harish alias Katta. The incident took place in the early hours of Friday, March 14, just before Sehri prayers. Four masked assailants, riding a motorcycle, ambushed Harish near his residence in Galli No 9, firing multiple rounds and killing him on the spot.

CCTV Footage Reveals Chilling Attack

The shocking CCTV footage shows Harish being targeted by the attackers, who fired multiple bullets before fleeing the scene. Another man was seen with Harish moments before the attack but managed to escape when the assailants opened fire. The video has now become a crucial piece of evidence in the ongoing investigation.

Assailants Fire Multiple Rounds, Flee After Murder

Eyewitnesses and Harish’s family members revealed that he was returning home after playing cricket with friends when the attackers struck. The assailants fired around eight to nine rounds, with at least seven bullets hitting Harish in the stomach and back, leading to his immediate death.

According to a report by Dainik Bhaskar, the sound of gunfire alerted residents, who attempted to chase down the criminals. However, the assailants fired additional shots at their pursuers, narrowly missing several bystanders. Bullet marks were later discovered on nearby shop shutters, highlighting the reckless nature of the attack. The incident left the local community in shock, with a large crowd gathering at the scene to express outrage.

Police Investigate Possible Gang War Connection

Following the incident, police and forensic teams reached the crime scene to launch an investigation. The authorities are analyzing CCTV footage to identify the perpetrators and their escape route.

ASP Mayank Pathak, leading the investigation, stated that police are probing all possible angles, including a potential gang rivalry. Harish reportedly had ongoing disputes, which may have been the motive behind the attack. Three special teams have been deployed to track down the attackers.

The body of the deceased has been sent for a postmortem examination, and a case has been registered against the unknown assailants. Law enforcement officials have assured residents that they are committed to bringing the culprits to justice. The investigation remains active as police gather further evidence and question witnesses.
