Allu Arjun Asked to Remove Mask at Mumbai Airport, Internet Reacts to Viral Video: “Idhar Jhukna Padega”
Telugu superstar Allu Arjun recently found himself at the center of social media chatter after a brief interaction with security personnel at Mumbai Airport sparked a wave of online reactions. A video that surfaced online shows the Pushpa actor being requested by a CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) officer to remove his face mask and sunglasses for standard identity verification — a moment that didn’t go unnoticed by the internet.
The incident took place as the actor arrived at the airport dressed casually in a white t-shirt and black track pants. As part of the usual entry process, he presented his ID to the on-duty CISF officer. The officer, following protocol, politely asked Arjun to briefly remove his sunglasses and face mask to verify his identity.
Please follow the rules 🙏

Yesterday at Airport security , Allu Arjun was stopped by an officer and asked to show his face with Id. Allu was initially reluctant, and after a brief exchange of words, his assistant tried to convince the officer that he was Allu Arjun. Even then,… pic.twitter.com/sv0i6mf6EU
Initially, Arjun appeared hesitant and was seen engaging in a brief conversation with the officer. A member of his team also joined the exchange. While the moment seemed slightly tense, the actor eventually complied — first removing his sunglasses and then quickly pulling down his face mask for identification, before swiftly putting it back on. He was then allowed to proceed inside the terminal.
However, what might have been just a routine check quickly snowballed into a social media debate. The video, which went viral on platforms like Reddit, led to strong opinions from netizens — many of whom criticized the actor for what they perceived as unnecessary resistance.
One user wrote, “Just show your full face man, why be so egoistic? Sadly these people think themselves as Gods cause of stupid fans and don’t care to follow protocols.” Another echoed this sentiment, commenting, “The CISF guy was 100% within his right to ask the actor to show his face.” A third added, “The general public reveres and worships them. Of course they’re gonna think everyone else is beneath them.”
A few even referenced Arjun’s iconic dialogue from Pushpa: The Rise, writing things like “Pushpa jhuk gaya lol” and “Idhar jhukna padega.”
Despite the criticism, there were also a handful of supporters who stood by the actor, arguing that celebrities often face heightened scrutiny and judgment in public spaces.
On the work front, Allu Arjun is gearing up for his next major project with director Atlee, tentatively titled AA22xA6. The film boasts a star-studded cast including Deepika Padukone, Rashmika Mandanna, Janhvi Kapoor, and Mrunal Thakur. It is slated for a global theatrical release between late 2026 and early 2027, and will be released in multiple languages.
