Allu Arjun Breaks Silence After Arrest, Assures Full Cooperation In Investigation
Hyderabad, December 14, 2024: Actor Allu Arjun, who was arrested on Friday (December 13) in connection with a stampede incident at the Pushpa 2 premiere that resulted in the tragic death of a woman, has spoken publicly for the first time since his release.
Allu Arjun was taken into custody from his residence and presented before the Nampally Court, which initially remanded him to 14 days of judicial custody. However, after an appeal to the Telangana High Court, he was granted interim bail for four weeks. Despite the bail, he spent one night at Chanchalguda Central Jail before being released this morning.
Speaking to the media post-release, Allu Arjun expressed his sorrow over the unfortunate incident. “I am deeply grateful for the love and support I have received. I assure everyone that there is nothing to worry about, and I am fine. I am a law-abiding citizen and will fully cooperate with the investigation. The incident was tragic, and I once again express my condolences to the victim’s family. We all feel deeply saddened by what happened,” he stated.
Acknowledges the Tragedy as an Accident
The actor emphasized that the stampede was an accident and beyond his control. “We attended the premiere to celebrate our work, but an unfortunate event occurred, leading to the loss of a life. I feel terrible about this, and I have never experienced anything like this in my 20-year career. I will always stand by the victim’s family and offer any support they need,” he added.
The Incident
The Pushpa 2 premiere event, held on December 4 in Hyderabad, witnessed a massive stampede, resulting in the death of a 39-year-old woman and leaving her son critically injured. Police registered cases against Allu Arjun, the management of Sandhya Theatre, and his security team for negligence.
Following his release, Allu Arjun reiterated his commitment to supporting the investigation and helping the victim’s family while thanking his fans for their unwavering support.
