Actor Ameesha Patel, best known for films like Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai and Gadar, recently made a candid confession that has stirred plenty of buzz among fans. Appearing on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, she revealed her long-standing admiration for Hollywood star Tom Cruise, a crush that dates back to her school days.
“I’ve liked Tom Cruise since childhood. I had his picture on my pencil box, in my files, and the only poster in my room was of him,” Ameesha recalled. She went on to admit, with a laugh, that Cruise is the only man for whom she could set aside her principles, even joking about being open to a one-night stand with the Top Gun actor.
This isn’t the first time Ameesha has spoken about her fondness for Cruise. At a red-carpet event some years ago, she mentioned that if she could swap lives with any actress, it would be someone who had the chance to work with him. She even quipped that, given the chance, she would have married him.
During the same podcast, Ameesha also shared insights into her personal life and relationships. She spoke about her first serious romance before entering Bollywood, explaining how her then-partner didn’t want her to step into the public eye. Ultimately, she chose to prioritize her career — a decision she says she has no regrets about. While she has stayed single, Ameesha made it clear she remains open to marriage. “I am all up for marriage, as long as I find someone worthy,” she said, adding that she continues to receive serious proposals from respected families.
Professionally, Ameesha returned to the big screen with Gadar 2 in 2023 alongside Sunny Deol, a sequel that became a box-office blockbuster, grossing over ₹686 crore worldwide. She was last seen in the 2024 romantic comedy Tauba Tera Jalwa. While her upcoming projects have not yet been announced, her recent interviews suggest she has no plans of stepping out of the limelight anytime soon.
