Auto Lovers, Rejoice! Kia Announces Big Price Drops After GST 2.0 – Check Updated Rates
After the recent GST 2.0 update, Kia India has decided to pass on some serious savings to its customers by lowering prices across its entire range of petrol and diesel vehicles. This comes right after the 56th GST Council meeting on September 3, 2025, led by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, where new tax cuts for passenger vehicles were approved to make buying a car more affordable.
Starting September 22, 2025, you can expect lower prices on popular Kia models like the Sonet, Seltos, and Carnival, with discounts reaching up to ₹4.48 lakh.
Mr. Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director and CEO of Kia India, expressed his enthusiasm about the move, saying, “We truly appreciate the Indian government’s forward-thinking reforms that make owning a vehicle more affordable. This GST reduction is a bold and timely move that will definitely boost the auto sector and make car ownership more accessible for many Indians.”
He also added, “This simplified tax structure not only supports economic growth but also encourages innovation in mobility. We’re excited to pass on the full benefits to our customers—just in time for the festive season!”
