The incident took place on Saturday, when Baba Siddique, 66, was shot dead outside his son, Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Kher Nagar, Bandra, Mumbai. The attackers ambushed the former Maharashtra minister, a prominent leader of the Ajit Pawar-led faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Siddique was killed at the scene.

So far, two shooters involved in the killing, Gurmail Singh and Dharmaraj Kashyap, have been arrested. Both were produced in a holiday court and remanded to police custody until October 21. However, the third shooter, Shivkumar Gautam, is still absconding, and efforts are being made to locate him.
