Baba Siddique Murder Investigation Unfolds: Pune Connection Revealed
The investigation into the murder of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique has taken a significant turn with the revelation of a Pune connection. Shivakumar, alias Shiva Gautam, the third accused and alleged gang leader, was found to be working at a scrap dealer in Pune before absconding after the murder.
A team from the Mumbai Crime Branch has been sent other states to search for Shivakumar, who hails from Gandhara village in Behraich, Uttar Pradesh. Interrogation of the other arrested accused revealed Shivakumar’s leadership role in the gang.
Further investigations have uncovered that four persons, including Shivakumar, were involved in the murder, with a payment of Rs 2.5 to 3 lakh for the crime. Each accused was to receive Rs 50,000. Notably, three of the accused met while incarcerated in a Punjab jail, where they came into contact with a member of the Bishnoi gang.
Crime Branch teams have been deployed to Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh), Delhi, and Haryana to track down the accused. The investigation has also revealed similarities between the techniques used in the Salman Khan firing case and those employed by the accused.
Preparations are underway to interrogate Lawrence Bishnoi, currently imprisoned in Sabarmati, Gujarat. The accused claim ties to Lawrence’s gang, necessitating legal clearance for the inquiry. Additionally, investigators have found that the shooters of the Lawrence gang used Jigana pistols, while a 9mm pistol was used to kill Siddiqui.
Baba Siddique’s post-mortem was conducted at Municipal Cooper Hospital, with the process completed in four hours. Further investigations and court proceedings are forthcoming.
The Pune connection has shed new light on the murder investigation, and authorities are working tirelessly to solve this murder mystery.
