Beating Cancer Three Times: Pune Based Rachit Kulshrestha’s Unstoppable Journey of Adventure and Inspiration
Rachit Kulshrestha, a Pune-based three-time cancer survivor and single amputee, embodies resilience and positivity. An adventure enthusiast and expert cyclist, he has conquered the challenging Manali-Khardung La route, toured the Nilgiris across three states in six days, and completed 200km and 300km BRM rides.
His love for trekking has taken him to Kheer Ganga twice. Beyond sports, he enjoys football, cricket, chess, and table tennis.
In December 2023, Rachit completed a Screenplay course at the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. His extensive experience in films includes working in post-production for major titles like Black Panther, The Avengers, and Ant-Man 2. He also directed Candy Flip (2019) and featured in the music video Udaan, a collaboration with Lagori and Mugdha Hasabnis.
Speaking to Pune Pulse Rachit told, I’ve faced numerous challenges in my life, but I’ve overcome them all. Everyone encounters difficulties, and I want to share my journey to inspire others. I aim to tell them that it’s okay and to embrace the present. I’m grateful for the opportunity to convey this message whenever I’m invited as a motivational speaker. It brings me joy to contribute in this way.
Rachit’s influence extends beyond adventure and cinema. He is a trained tarot card reader and a spiritualist, encouraging people to adopt a positive outlook. A sought-after motivational speaker, he has addressed audiences at the Pune Rotary Club, Aura Speaks, and institutions like St. Aloysius’ College and IIHM Pune. His inspiring journey has been featured in Humans of Bombay, The Better India, and Huffington Post.
Recognized for his achievements, Rachit received the CavinKare Ability Award for Mastery (2023) and the Victor Award (2021). A strong advocate for inclusion, he has spoken at the Indian Inclusion Summit and Vividh Diversity Job Fair. His journey proves that no challenge is insurmountable, and he continues to inspire through his diverse talents and relentless determination.
