Breathtaking air show RoZéO' set to enthrall Pune citizens on October 20
Pune: The French Institute of India, in association with the Alliance Française Network, has come up with an exhilarating experience for Punekrs, the ‘rozeo’ air show. This air show showcases French culture, recently graced the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
“Rozeo” air show presented by French company Grat Ciel will be held tomorrow will be presented on 20 October 2024 at Amanora Mall, Magarpatta, Hadapsar at 5.30 pm. At the office of Alliance France, Coordinator Stéphane Gerrard, the director of Alliance France Pune Amelie Wijal said thae show will be free of cost for all, on Saturday.
Amelie Vijal added that with ‘RoZeo’ and other exciting cultural productions, the Alliance Françaises network is further strengthening the artistic exchange between the two countries, India and France. This innovative creation will serve as a bond connecting our artistic communities. It will also show works of art from France.
RoZéO, is a unique live performance created by Stéphane Girard and Cami Baumier with designs by Pauline Fremaux and artwork by Anne Jonathan. This performance amuses the audience. Artists perform poetically and with delicate movements to bring this show alive on the sky. The figures, gently swaying on metal poles at least 6 meters high, get evoked on the Camargue’s reedbeds. This beautiful 42-minute performance, with electronics and field recording and soundscapes, on the rhythmic beats of the music, creates a meditative atmosphere in the audience. During this performance, the audience feels that art and nature have merged with each other.
RoZéO premiered in 2023 as well as after its Olympic performance, as part of the inaugural program created by Artistic Director Thomas Jolly, gaining international acclaim for its choreography.
