A tragic incident took place on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway involving a private bus and a truck. The bus crashed into the truck that was parked on the side of the road. 8 people were injured and 18 seriously injured. They are undergoing treatment at a private hospital. After the accident, there was significant traffic congestion on the expressway, but once vehicles were cleared, traffic resumed smoothly.

The accident occurred on the Pune-Mumbai side of the expressway while descending the Bhor Ghat in the Khopoli region. A truck experienced a puncture and was stationary in the third lane. The bus driver failed to notice the truck and collided with it at a high speed. There were 38 passengers on board the bus.

Following the collision, a traffic jam was witnessed on the expressway, but it improved once the vehicles were moved. The bus involved was a private vehicle belonging to the Balu Mama Company. The initial reports identified several seriously injured individuals, including Manisha Bhosale, Sunita Taral, Balaji Suryavanshi, Sanket Ghare, Abhijit Dinde, Sarita Shinde, Sandeep Moge, and Sonakshi Kamble, who are all currently receiving treatment.
