According to the footage, the incident occurred during a morning walk when the woman was passing through the society premises. Another resident was also out with her pet dog, which was on a leash. Despite being restrained, the dog suddenly charged at the woman. In a panic, she attempted to flee and climbed onto a boundary wall. She then lost her balance and fell from the elevated podium.
The CCTV video shows the woman retreating as the dog moves toward her, ultimately falling from the height. A passerby can be seen rushing to her aid immediately after the fall. She was later taken for medical treatment, and her injuries are reported to be serious.
The incident has sparked public outrage over the negligence of pet owners in residential societies. Many residents and social media users criticized the dog owner’s inaction during the event. One user commented, “The pet owner did not even try to help the woman who fell.”
This event adds to a growing list of similar occurrences where pets, often inadequately controlled, have caused harm or distress to residents. Residents are now demanding stricter enforcement of pet regulations and greater accountability from owners to prevent such dangerous situations.
Authorities are reviewing the CCTV footage as part of their investigation, and calls are growing for societies to revisit their pet management policies to ensure public safety.
