CBSE Board Exams 2026 Date Sheet Released: Class 10 & 12 Complete Timetable
CBSE to Introduce Open Book Exams for Class 9 from 2026-27: Here’s How It Will Benefit Students
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the detailed date sheet for the 2026 board exams. Both Class 10 and Class 12 examinations are scheduled to begin on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, giving students nearly five months to prepare. With around 45 lakh students expected to appear across 204 subjects in India and abroad, CBSE has laid out a structured timetable to ensure smooth conduct of exams, practicals, and evaluation processes.

As per CBSE guidelines, “evaluation of answer scripts will begin approximately 10 days after each subject’s examination and will be completed within 12 days.” For example, if Class XII Physics is held on 20th February 2026, evaluation is expected to start on March 3 and conclude by March 15.
