Pune, January 27: A 12th-grade student, Junaid Zari, tragically lost his life after being run over by a dumper truck on the Tandulwadi-Baramati Road on Friday afternoon. His friend, who was riding pillion, sustained minor injuries in the accident.

Junaid Zari, a resident of Tandulwadi in Baramati and a student at a private college, was returning home with his friend after completing an exam. According to Pune Rural police, a dumper truck traveling in the opposite direction made a sudden U-turn, colliding with their two-wheeler. Zari fell off and was run over by the dumper, while his friend managed to jump off and escape serious harm.

CCTV footage of the accident shows the dumper truck making a sharp U-turn, causing the two youths to lose control of their bike. The truck’s front wheel fatally crushed Zari, while his friend attempted to stop the driver. The driver, however, fled the scene after abandoning the vehicle.
