Pune: The civil court in Pune is expected to pass an order on December 12 regarding a petition filed by environmental activists concerning the municipal commissioner’s conflicting role in the approval of tree cutting.

As per the information provided, on Monday, Ameet Singh, Hema Chari, Rupesh Kesekar, and other activists presented their plea. The lawyer representing the PMC argued that the civil court was not the appropriate platform for the matter. However, it falls under the jurisdiction of the National Green Tribunal (NGT). The activists have submitted a counterargument.
