Class 10 Girl Dies After Accidental Fall from 8th Floor While Photographing Sunset in Mumbai

Dahisar: A Class 10 student tragically lost her life on Sunday evening after falling from the eighth-floor terrace of the Parichay Building in Dahisar (East). The student, Jhanvi Savla, had gone to the terrace around 7 pm to photograph the sunset when she reportedly slipped and fell.
Jhanvi, who had recently appeared for her IB board exams and was awaiting the results, lived on the seventh floor of the building with her parents. She was the only child of Samir Savla and his wife.
According to the Dahisar police, she had informed her father before going to the terrace. Soon after, residents found her fallen and immediately alerted her family.
Senior Inspector Ashok Honmane stated, “The girl died due to an accidental fall. Our investigation shows no signs of foul play. She had gone to the terrace after informing her father.”
Her father confirmed, “My daughter told me she wanted to take photos of the sunset and went upstairs with permission. The incident occurred just minutes later.”
Her final rites were conducted on Monday. An accidental death report has been filed by the police.
