To simplify the daily lives of regular citizens, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed all state officials to create a seven-point action plan.

On Tuesday, he held a video conference with divisional commissioners, district collectors, municipal commissioners, police commissioners, and superintendents of police. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, along with all other ministers. During this meeting, he provided detailed instructions regarding the tasks that the state administration should prioritize over the next hundred days.

He indicated that a review will take place on April 15, 2025, regarding the instructions given. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that the office’s website should be properly equipped, and all information that may be requested under the Right to Information Act should be made available on the website in advance. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that the website is protected against cyber threats. He instructed officials to organize government offices, dispose of unnecessary paperwork, and remove damaged and unused vehicles, in line with the provided directives.

He also highlighted the need for maintaining clean drinking water and restrooms for citizens visiting government offices. Since officials may conduct surprise visits, it is essential for the office to appear tidy at all times. To improve the ease of living for citizens, he urged that at least two improvements or innovative initiatives be introduced in each office.

Fadnavis further directed officials to strive for zero pending tasks. Additionally, he instructed that information should be posted on a board indicating when citizens can expect to meet with the officers.

In the mean time, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis drew attention to the crowd in the ministry and criticized the officials. Issues faced by citizens should be resolved at the taluka and district levels; however, this is not happening, leading to congestion in the ministry.

Chief Minister Fadnavis stated that divisional commissioners and district collectors should communicate with the officials of relevant departments and entrepreneurs.

7-point highlighted by the Chief Minister.

1. Regularly refresh and maintain the department and office website.

2. Focus on the Ease of Living initiative.

3. Carry out a cleanliness drive in government offices.
