Although it is widely acknowledged that religious texts provide comfort, resilience, and optimism, a cardiologist from Kanpur has implemented the inclusion of religious scripture as an obligatory component of medical treatment.

A renowned heart surgeon has been captivating his patients with a thoughtful gesture. Prior to their surgeries and during their long-term treatment, he presents them with copies of the Bhagavad Gita, Hanuman Chalisa, Sunderkand, and Ramayana to read. This compassionate act has touched the hearts of his patients and further solidified his reputation as a caring and empathetic medical professional.

As per the information provided, the act of reading religious books enhances the mental strength of patients and uplifts their morale throughout the course of treatment.

The doctor, who initiated this campaign approximately a year ago, affirms that the combination of the patient’s immunity power and medication is pivotal in the recovery process, regardless of whether it is for heart ailments or other illnesses.

As per the information received, it is undeniable that once a disease is diagnosed, the patient experiences significant mental distress regarding their treatment and the impact on their family.

In such circumstances, the act of reading spiritual texts such as the Gita, Hanuman Chalisa, and Ramayana serves as a diversion for the patient’s mind, ultimately yielding a positive effect on their overall health.

The doctor further asserted that patients who engage in reading religious books during their hospital stay exhibit a greater sense of happiness upon discharge.

Remarkably, the doctor personally utilised his own funds to procure these books for the patients, as he discovered that providing newspapers for reading did not yield encouraging results. Undoubtedly, this practice has not only made our patients mentally resilient but has also been found to enhance their immune power.
