Complaint Against Ranbir Kapoor For 'Hurting Sentiments' In Viral Video
A complaint is filed alleging Bollywood Actor Ranbir Kapoor for hurting religious sentiments in a video that shows, Ranbir Kapoor and his family celebrating Christmas and pouring alcohol on the cake, before setting it on fire.
Sanjay Tiwari, who filed the complaint at Ghatkopar police station through his lawyers Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra, claimed that in the video the actor’s family is seen pouring liquor on the cake and Ranbir is setting it on fire while saying ‘Jai Mata Di’. “Ranbir Kapoor and his family members deliberately used intoxicants while celebrating the festival of another religion,” the complainant said. “In Hinduism, the fire god is invoked before invoking other deities, but Ranbir Kapoor and his family members deliberately used intoxicants while celebrating the festival of another religion and chanted Jai Mata Di”, the complaint said. This hurt the complainant’s religious sentiments, he alleged.
No First Information Report (FIR) has been registered in the case yet.
