Covid19 molecular test results in just 3 minutes in Pune

Pune city has been the worst hit by the Covid19 virus across the nation, where the cases are rising everyday. But it is also known to have the highest number of testing, which is considered to be the best in the country so far.

Pune city is all set to have Covid19 – Thermal Molecular Testing machines which will give results in just three minutes.
An US Food Drug Administration and Drugs Controller General of India approved machines have been brought in Pune by Krsna Diagnostics.
The official inauguration of these devices happened on Friday, September 25, 2020 at the hands of deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar.

At present there are two ways to determine the tests. Rapid Antigen Test which gives results in 30 minutes and the Covid RT PCR test which takes about 8 hours to determine the test which is considered to be the standard test.
On speaking with the managing director of Krsnaa Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd, manufacturer of the machine, Pallavi Jain, said, “The results for COVID will be out in maximum 3 – 13 minutes. The timely result will not just enable the doctors and the government to trace the patients, but also break the chain of COVID that is booming. In the tests, the proven isothermal molecular technology is used, which is known to provide fastest molecular results.”
Upon being asked by Pune Pulse about how the portable machine will be mass manufactured, she said, “The company is in public – private partnership with the Pune Municipal Corporation. Once the government notifies us about the requirement, we shall produce it as per need.”

Addressing the Press, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar said, “The machine will be a major addition to fight against COVID. Maharashtra will benefit most out of it – not just state – but when the country has almost reached 100 k, such developments will ease the fight against the virus. But, people must not get out until it is necessary.”
Along with the launch of the machine, 56 new ambulances, too, have been given a green flag by the Deputy CM.
