Dajipur Sanctuary: Attention Tourists Opening Date Announced for 'this' Date
Radhanagari-Dajipur Sanctuary, rich in biodiversity, will open for tourists starting Friday (November 1). Due to the clear weather and the good condition of internal roads, the sanctuary is opening on time this year.
Once the sanctuary opens, the tourism business experiences a boom. The sanctuary remains closed to tourists for five months during the monsoon, leading to a downturn in the tourism sector. This year’s tourism season will begin on November 1 with the opening of the main entrance of the sanctuary and a jungle safari.
The vehicles available for jungle safari, tent accommodations, private homestays, road improvements, dormitories, and other facilities have led to an annual increase in the number of tourists visiting the sanctuary area. The wildlife department has put more emphasis on the development of tourist spots and facilities for visitors in the sanctuary area. Additionally, the vehicles used for jungle safari and homestays have provided a source of income for the locals.
Meanwhile, the construction of the modern three-star facility ‘Holiday Resort’ in Dajipur, which will aid in the tourism development of the Radhanagari-Dajipur area, has been completed. The tourism development corporation plans to open this resort for tourists in the upcoming tourism season in the new year.
