Deadline Extended To October 9 For Maharashtra TET 2025 Applications Due To Flood Situation
Pune, October 4, 2025: The Maharashtra State Examination Council has extended the deadline for applying to the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) scheduled on November 23, 2025. Candidates can now submit their applications online until October 9, 2025.
The extension was granted as heavy rainfall and flood conditions in several districts of Maharashtra made it difficult for candidates to complete the online application process. Applicants can pay the examination fee through net banking, debit card, or credit card until 11:59 PM on October 9.
No further extensions will be given, the Council’s Commissioner, Anuradha Oak, confirmed.
The application process for TET began on September 15, with the original deadline set for October 3. However, widespread flooding in Marathwada and Western Maharashtra disrupted transport and technical systems, causing difficulties in filling out the forms.
Following complaints and demands from students and organizations, including the Yuva Shikshan Va Samajik Nyay Sanghatana and Competitive Exam Students’ Association, the Council decided to extend the deadline, providing relief to applicants.
