In FY2024, Delhi-NCR witnessed a flurry of real estate transactions, with 29 land deals spanning across 314 acres, indicating a robust activity in the region. Notably, Zomato’s co-founder and CEO, Deepinder Goyal, secured the spotlight with the capital’s biggest land deal, acquiring a significant 5-acre parcel in the Dera Mandi area for ₹79 crore.

Data accessed from Anarock revealed that besides Goyal’s acquisition, other prominent buyers in Delhi-NCR included renowned real estate developers such as Godrej Properties, Experion Developers, DLF Homes Developers, and Prestige Group, among others.

Comparing to the previous fiscal year, FY2023, there was a noticeable uptick in land deals in FY2024, with 29 deals recorded covering approximately 314 acres, in contrast to 23 deals over 273.9 acres.

In Gurugram, 22 land deals amounting to 208.22 acres were finalized, with a mix of purposes including educational, residential, and retail developments. Notable transactions included Ganga Realty’s acquisition of an 8.35-acre parcel in Sector 84 for ₹132 crore and Experion Developers’ purchase of a 4-acre land on Golf Course Road for ₹400 crore.

Mumbai-based Godrej Properties made significant acquisitions, securing a 7.91-acre parcel on Golf Course Extension Road for ₹900 crore and a 14.8-acre parcel in Sector 103 Gurugram for ₹403 crore. DLF Homes Developers also made a noteworthy purchase of 29 acres in Golf Course Extension Road for ₹825 crore.

The data further highlighted Prestige Group’s acquisition of 62.5 acres for over ₹400 crore in Ghaziabad, indicating a diverse range of investments across Delhi-NCR.

These transactions underscore the continued investor confidence in the real estate sector, despite the evolving market dynamics and economic conditions.
