Emotional Moment: Manasi Parekh Breaks Down in Tears After Winning Best Actress National Award for 'Kutch Express'
Actor Manasi Parekh has received the esteemed Best Actress National Award for her compelling role in the Gujarati film “Kutch Express.” She shared this honor with actress Nithya Menen, who was recognized for her performance in the romantic drama “Thiruchitrambalam,” starring alongside Dhanush.
The National Film Awards ceremony took place on October 8 at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi, where President Droupadi Murmu presented the awards. Overwhelmed with emotion, Manasi Parekh shed tears of joy as she posed with her trophy, deeply touched by the acknowledgment of her portrayal of Monghi in “Kutch Express.” The film, directed by Viral Shah, also showcases strong performances from actors like Ratna Pathak Shah, Dharmendra Gohil, Darsheel Safary, and Viraf Patell.
Manasi Parekh expressed her emotions in an Instagram post reflecting on the significance of her award after the announcement. She mentioned that this year marks her 20th anniversary as an actor, and August 16, 2024, will be a memorable date for her. She recalled her friend, actor Anand Tiwari, being the first to congratulate her, which left her in disbelief before she was overwhelmed with messages from others. In her post, she shared how she jumped in surprise while getting ready for a shoot and ended up crying intensely, similar to her character Monghi’s emotional moment in “Kutch Express.”
