Ensure adequate stock and supply of oxygen in the district ; informs Pune Collector

Oxygen cylinder manufacturers and suppliers should ensure sufficient production considering the spike in Covid19 cases; informs Pune Collector
Pune district collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh held a joint meeting with oxygen cylinders producers and suppliers and informed them to keep enough stock of the Cylinders looking at the spike in Covid19 cases.

The meeting saw presence of medicine department’s Assistant Commissioner Suresh Patil, medicine inspector Pramod Patil and many others.
At present the current requirement of oxygen is 135 metric tonne while we have supply of 790 metric tonne. This informs that there is adequate quantity of oxygen but seeing the surge in cases across Pune district and adjoining areas we might have to remain vigilant.

Dr Rajesh Deshmukh stated that those involved in oxygen production, tanker drivers, staff should be administered Covid19 vaccine. Similar arrangements shall be made.
Also, oxygen producers and suppliers incase of any issue should inform us, informed Assistant Commissioner Medicine department, Suresh Patil.
