Entrepreneur Proves Work-Life Balance Pays Off, Boosts Revenue 200% in 2 Years with 6-Hour Workdays
A LinkedIn post by an entrepreneur has caught the attention of netizens for its unconventional take on work and productivity. The entrepreneur revealed that he works only a maximum of six hours a day and attributes his success to focusing on the right things rather than “hustling 24/7.”
This Noida-based entrepreneur is Deepak Bhati. In his post, he wrote, “I don’t work 12–14 hours a day. Most days, I only work 5–6 hours.”
He explained that in his free time, he spends it reading, thinking, playing with his daughter, or simply doing nothing. “The rest? I’m reading. Thinking. Spending time with my daughter. Or simply doing nothing. Does that make me less ambitious? I don’t think so.”
Bhati also highlighted how he manages multiple interests alongside his work. “Because in the last few years, from the very start, I thrived on managing multiple interests simultaneously.” While sharing his business growth, he noted, “None of this came from ‘hustling 24/7.’ It came from focusing on the right things.”

He added that a person’s ambition is not defined by the number of hours worked. “So if 6 hours works for you, great. If 16 hours of work works for you, great. Because the number of hours doesn’t prove your ambition. Your results do,” he concluded.
Bhati’s post drew reactions from LinkedIn users who appreciated his perspective. “At the end of the day, it’s all about productivity and achieving your goals. Follow a path that brings fulfillment, and that’s all you need,” one user commented. Another said, “Doing nothing is itself a task, and often the most valuable.”
One of Bhati’s employees added a humorous note, saying, “Boss, this post is inspiring, but HR is still timing my login.” Bhati responded with laughing emojis, writing, “Let me check.”
