Rayat Vidyarthi Parishad, a student body that has time and again raised its voice on various environmental issues, has once again set its foot on the ground of PCMC to oppose the environmental report published by the civic body, citing that the report is unworked, only reflecting a statistical data that is re-arranged with respect to last year, suggesting no on ground work. The student body has also alleged that the report is a result of ‘cut, copy and paste’, and it hardly covers the core environmental issues. The student body protested against the report and burnt the copies of reports in front of the PCMC building.

The student body has stated: “There is no mention of the areas and frequency of the tests conducted for air, water, river and souns pollution by the agency. The report reflects the re-arrangement of the statistical data without any on ground examination. ‘Cut, Copy and Paste’ is easily reflected in the report.”
