With the festival season on the horizon, it’s essential to be aware that banks in several states will be closed for the Dussehra festival, as well as the following second Saturday and Sunday. In October, banks will observe 15 holidays in various states due to different local festivals. This includes all Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays. In certain states, banks will shut down for four days in a row to celebrate festivals like Dussehra.

Here’s the state-wise holiday list for the upcoming Dussehra and Durga Puja:

– October 10 (Maha Saptami): Banks will be closed in Tripura, Assam, Nagaland, and West Bengal.

– October 11 (Mahashtami/Mahanavami/Ayudha Pooja/Durga Puja/Durga Ashtami): Banks will be closed in Tripura, Karnataka, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Meghalaya.

– October 26 (Accession Day): Banks will be closed in Jammu and Srinagar.

– Diwali (Deepavali)/Kali Puja/Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Birthday/Naraka Chaturdashi: Banks will be closed in most states, except for Tripura, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Manipur, and Meghalaya.
